Chronic Health Conditions
Living with a chronic health condition often comes with a lot of conflicting nutrition advice.
I provide weight-neutral nutrition support for chronic health conditions, with particular expertise in GI and autoimmune conditions. I work with digestive conditions like IBS, IBD, gastroparesis, and acid reflux/GERD, as well as Hashimoto’s, diabetes and prediabetes, high cholesterol, heart health, and more. My focus is finding practical, sustainable ways to nourish your body and manage your condition, without fear-based messaging or pressure to shrink. Managing a chronic condition and having a peaceful relationship with food aren’t mutually exclusive.
Before starting Mindfully Guided, I spent five years at a GI-focused private practice. I also live with celiac disease, so I know firsthand what it’s like to navigate medically necessary diet changes.
Our work together might include:
Making sense of nutrition recommendations for your specific condition
Finding flexible, realistic ways to eat that support your health and fit your life
Reintroducing foods after an elimination diet, when it’s appropriate
Navigating fear or anxiety around food that has built up since your diagnosis
Working through the grief or frustration that can come with managing food and a health condition long-term
Coordinating with your care team so nutrition support fits your broader treatment plan
This might be for you if...
You’ve been handed a list of foods to avoid and don’t know where to start
Your diet keeps getting smaller as you try to manage symptoms
Food has felt stressful or scary since your diagnosis
You’re managing more than one condition and the advice conflicts
You want to take care of your health without going back to dieting
Ready for support that doesn’t add to the noise?
