PMOS (formerly PCOS) Nutrition

If you’ve been told to restrict foods, cut out entire food groups, or lose weight to manage your symptoms, you deserve better.

I offer weight-neutral nutrition support for blood sugar, hormones, and everyday nourishment, without all-or-nothing thinking. Many people with PMOS have spent years hearing that weight loss is the answer, while their cravings, energy, and symptoms go unaddressed. Our work focuses on habits that support your health, like regular, satisfying meals and steadier blood sugar, rather than the number on the scale. Whether you were recently diagnosed, have been living with PMOS for years, or are navigating fertility, I’m here to help.

You might know it as PCOS. The new name, polyendocrine metabolic ovarian syndrome, better reflects that it affects hormones and metabolism throughout the body, not just the ovaries. As an ELNA-endorsed Fertility Dietitian, I also support people with PMOS who are trying to conceive, including those preparing for IVF.

Our work together might include:

  • Building an eating pattern that supports blood sugar balance without cutting out foods you love

  • Understanding how your hunger, energy, and cravings connect to your hormones

  • Moving away from all-or-nothing food rules toward something sustainable

  • Connecting your symptoms and lab results to practical food choices that feel purposeful, not punishing

  • Sorting out what the research actually supports, and what you can let go of

  • An approach tailored to your symptoms, your goals, and your life

This might be for you if...

  • You’ve been told to “just lose weight” and want a different approach

  • You’re stuck in a cycle of cutting carbs, then feeling out of control around them

  • Cravings, energy crashes, or constant hunger feel hard to manage

  • You’re trying to conceive and want to support your cycle

  • You’re overwhelmed by conflicting PMOS advice online
